Adriaan is a rare musical entity ˆ his skill as multi-instrumentalist makes

him one of South Africa’s most surprising on-stage trend-setters yet. He is

neither a stranger to composing and arranging for symphonic and philharmonic

orchestras at national level, nor to composing and producing sound tracks

for flagship theatre productions at all of South Africa’s major arts

festivals. The second half of this decade brought a new direction: project

management for ‘Music van de Caab’ – an extensive heritage and development

project which serves the previously disadvantaged of the Cape Winelands -

run from Solms-Delta Estate near Fransch Hoek. Adriaan is also currently a

final year M.Mus. Music Therapy student at the UP, and is fast becoming a

visible advocator for mental health promotion through the arts in South

Africa.
